Listings may include free items (scientific or personal), discounted items (Genomics Core, GC), departmental items for trade, items left by mistake in the Core, and housing. Please note that the Core does not verify information associated with non-GC listings; all such transactions are at your own risk.

To submit your own items for listing, email the following information to the Genomics Core:
  • Type of Listing (e.g., free or trade [offering or requesting]).
  • Item name (and LSU Tag No., if applicable).
  • Item description (or, vendor & part number).
  • Contact info (Name/Phone [or Bldg/Rm]... no email addresses).
  • Photo (optional, but should be <1 Mb).
  • Housing: include a pdf describing the listing.
  • If your listing is deemed suitable for the website, I will post such it as soon as I can; in return, please notify me as soon as a listing is no longer needed.

Note-1: All items with LSU Tags must be properly transferred on the inventory logs to the new owner.
Note-2: Requests to 'hold' an item are not binding; thus, the item will become yours only when you take physical possession of it.
Note-3: As maintenance of this particular page is not a high priority, items might remain listed for some time after their disposal.

    Free items

GC items are available in in the Core (A628, LSA); for other items, use the contact information in the listing.

  • GC item: Ice Chests – thick foam chests with shipping boxes (~24 X 21 X 15 inches); various other chests and blue ice packs.
  • GC item: MicroAmp® Centrifuge Adapter (0.2ml; N8013822; multiple packs).
  • Expiration Dates: Please note that kits are often fully functional long past expiration dates... which are based on solely on the longest storage date for which the product was officially validated rather than on how long the product is functional. Typically, how the kit components were treated and stored is more important than the official expiration date.
